Ich mag diese schäbig anmutenden bemalten Altbauten, die abgenutzten Stühle und Bänke und die ausgetretenen Bürgersteige... das Licht, wie es sich bricht, was es einfängt und überstrahlt..,die dargestellten Personen, es sieht fast aus, als fehlte nur noch der dampfende Atem (wirkt als wäre es etwas kälter gewesen).. ja man hat das gefühl, gerade selbst um 7Uhr früh durch den Boxi zu laufen, den Kaffee in der einen und das Käsebrötchen in der anderen Hand.
Auf den ersten Blick (und als kleines Bild) sah es wie eine digitale Zeichnung aus. Vielleicht das Zusammenspiel von gestochener Schärfe (Fenster, Zeitungen usw) und leicht verspielter Unschärfe (Bürgersteig und Personen vorn). Wirkt für mich jedenfalls so.

The warmth of the sun was captured perfectly; the oversaturated glow mixed with the very unsaturated colours of the entire scene, allows the viewer to focus on the calm summer feeling that these individuals are dreaming about, rather than the individuals themselves.
I know its an HDR setup that allowed for the possibility, but really grabs my attention, is that wherever the sunlight is reflecting, you can still see the details, rather than just a bright ghostly blob of white - it is this, that gives it the warm feeling, despite the cold atmosphere (jackets and pants).
The angle and balance of the colours is also really well set - everything is balanced, no empty or dead spaces exist here, the eyes keep moving around the entire canvas - which is definition of success!
